A host of dining options exist within the hotel, including a restaurant on the 36th floor - The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood, Cafe 410 and Starbucks. Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra also offers nearly 15,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, up to nine meeting rooms and WiFi and satellite conference facilities.

Features & Facilities

Many travellers are initially attracted to the Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra solely because of its superb central location. However, once inside the hotel, they are pleasantly surprised by the range of services and facilities on offer that are designed to make their stay as pleasurable as possible.

For starters, there are two restaurants on-site: the elegant Signature Prime Steak & Seafood Restaurant on the 36th floor, with its dramatically elevated views, open for dinner and cocktails and Cafe 410.

For added convenience, there is nothing like a convenience store – we have one on the premises. Also, located in the lobby, you will find a Starbucks serving your favourite hot or cold beverage. And if you still find yourself wanting for something, our skybridge on Level 2 connects you directly to the Ala Moana Center – the world’s largest open air shopping plaza and the source of just about anything your heart could desire.

The many walking trails and surf breaks nearby to the hotel are great places to exercise, but if you prefer to stay indoors, our fitness centre has a comprehensive range of well-maintained machines including treadmills, step machines, rowing machines and stationary bikes. Or an alternative way to work up a sweat is to take advantage of the adjoining steam room and sauna.

Dining

The Signature Prime Steak & Seafood Restaurant

Located on the 36th floor, this is where you can simultaneously eat perfectly-aged prime cuts of steak while you drink in the sky–high city views of modern Honolulu. Or perhaps your tastes lean more to the delicately flavoured bounty of the surrounding Pacific, in which case our extensive seafood offerings, including succulent marine lobster, should satisfy. Either way, your anticipation of a culinary feast will be heightened by a pre-dinner cocktail that sets the benchmark for the flavours to follow.

Cafe 410

Choose from a satisfying breakfast menu which includes local favorites like Loco Moco and an Acai Bowl & Power Wrap as well as more traditional items like a Bacon, Egg & Cheddar Sandwich or the 410 Breakfast Plate. All meals come with a fresh fruit medley and pastry basket as well as coffee, tea or orange juice.

Starbucks

It’s Starbucks…what else do you need to know? Well, perhaps that it is located within our hotel and, like any Starbucks, it has more styles of coffee than you can poke a pineapple at. Quick, convenient, and caffeinated, our in-house Starbucks will set you up for whatever your day will throw at you. Beer and wine available from 2.30pm.

Conference

Conferences

Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra may be a landmark hotel in a tropical paradise, but that doesn’t mean it can’t also serve as the ideal location for a business function or corporate event. Especially when you consider it has almost 15000 square feet of floor space dedicated to this purpose, and provides a flexible configuration of up to nine meeting rooms.

We also offer a choice of WiFi or satellite conferencing facilities, as well as a dedicated team led by highly experienced Convention Services Manager, there to ensure your event is stress-free. Your attendees will be spoilt with on-site catering, served in the Hibiscus Ballroom, with its 500 seat capacity.

Experiences

Honolulu is a melting pot of Asian, Pacific and Western cultures that offers the visitor a sensory smorgasboard of experiences: from the beaches and skyscrapers of Waikiki, to the historic buildings found further downtown, to the nightlife of bohemian neighborhoods in Chinatown and beyond. Ala Moana by Mantra’s prime central location midway between Waikiki and downtown makes it the ideal place from which to explore this tropical urban jungle.

In fact, one of Honolulu’s biggest attractions actually adjoins the hotel. Ala Moana Center is the world’s largest open-air shopping center, boasting almost 300 retailers, including four major department stores (Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Sears) as well as one of the largest collections of luxury retailers in the world. The center also offers a host of dining options.

Another gigantic attraction, at least for business travellers, is the adjacent Hawaii Convention Centre on Kalakaua Avenue. The numbers are impressive: 1.1 million square feet of meeting space, capacity for 13,000 guests. 47 meeting rooms, a 200,000sq foot exhibit hall and a 35,000sq foot ballroom. Capping it all off is a 2.5 acre landscaped rooftop events terrace.

From Ala Moana Hotel by Mantra you can walk 15 minutes in one direction and arrive in world famous Waikiki in time for your surf lesson; 20 minutes in the other direction and you’re in the heart of the city’s financial district. This district is more interesting than the name suggests, being home to many top attractions such as The Bishop Museum, Iolani Palace and The Honolulu Art Museum, to name a few.

On the western hem of the financial district you’ll find Honolulu’s intriguing Chinatown. Much more than just a collection of Asian restaurants, Chinatown is a nightlife and arts scene destination, with big stage shows at the historic Hawaii Theatre, the Chinatown art walk, and neighborhoods with loads of live music coming from the loft clubs and underground bars that are here to explore after dark.
